Overcrowding in U.S. ERs is more common, with patients 'boarding' for days, weeks - UPI.com Millions of people a day go to U.S. emergency rooms to seek care, but many end up in a holding pattern due to overcrowding. This is known as boarding, and experts say the problem is only getting worse. UPI
